Estela Soniel is the Clinical Research Study Manager at the NeuroCognitive Institute’s Clinical Research Unit. She is an integral member of the clinical research team at NCI. She supports all the investigators, clinical research coordinator, other study staffs, and sponsor, providing guidance on all aspects of the clinical studies to ensure adherence to study protocols, SOPs, ICH-GCP and regulatory guidelines. She has over 8 years of clinical research experience.
Training, Academic Affiliations and Professional Activities
Estela Soniel graduated with a degree of BS Food Technology at the University of the Philippines Diliman. She has attended various trainings in the Philippines, Thailand and Singapore which further developed her skills as a clinical research specialist.
Before joining NCI, she was a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) at GlaxoSmithKline, where she received rigorous training on ICH-GCP and clinical trial set-up and monitoring for vaccine clinical studies. Following this, she joined Exodon, a clinical research organization as a Study Start-up Specialist responsible for liaising with key contacts from sponsors and CROs in behalf of investigators and sites during start-up phase. After Exodon, she joined Novartis Vaccines as a CRA and then promoted to Clinical Trial Manager. She was mainly accountable for sponsor oversight, quality management, timelines and budget of assigned vaccine clinical trials in her region.
