Zachary J. Tivald is a Cognitive Rehab Therapist, Behaviorist, Neuropsychometrist and Neuromodulation Technician at the NeuroCognitive Institute. In his role as a Neuropsychometrist, Zach administers, scores and generate reports from the neurodiagnostic test data with adult and geriatric patients. As a Neuromodulation technician he has been trained in the use of neurofeedback to help treat patients at NCI with cognitive, neuropsychiatric and neurobehavioral disorders. In addition to using neurofeedback to treat cognitive impairment, he has extensive experience in other forms of neurocognitive rehabilitation specializing in community, academic and vocational reintegration helping patients return to their previous baseline functioning. Zachery is also a trained Behaviorist and helps treat patients with a variety of neurobehavioral disorders and he is responsible for training caregivers in the implementation of a wide range of behavioral modification interventions and treatment plans.
Training, Academic Affiliations and Professional Activities
Before joining NCI, Zachary was a Clinical Associate/Coordinator at Brett DiNovi & Associates where he constructed and implemented behavior intervention plans as well as trained staff and parents on how to implement them. He was also a Cognitive Therapist at Universal Institute.
Zachary is a certified Brain Injury Specialist as well as a registered Behavior Technician. He is actively pursuing certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Zachary earned his master’s degree in Applied Psychology: Applied Behavioral Analysis at Rider University.
