The Sleep Study and Treatment Center specializes in non-sleep apnea related sleep disorders such as the parasomnias, REM sleep behavioral disorder and Narcolepsy using behavioral, circadian, neuromodulation and medications when needed to treat a wide variety of sleep disorders.
The Neurodevelopmental Disorders Diagnostic and Treatment Center —This center evaluates patients starting at 18 months of age suspected of neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism, intellectual disorders and ADHD. Diagnostics include neurological exams, neuropsychological testing, Autism evaluations, neuroimaging as well as other specialized diagnostics such as genetic testing when indicated for patients being evaluated for neurodevelopmental disorders. Several treatment options are available for these patients and their families that including behavioral therapy including applied behavioral analysis, family therapy, neuromodulation, cognitive rehabilitation, and speech-language therapy as well as pharmacological interventions.
The Center for Acquired and Traumatic Brain Injuries – This center specializes in evaluating and treating patients with disorders such as encephalopathies, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. We utilize highly sensitive diagnostic techniques to identify cerebral dysfunction. Another unique aspect that NCBI offers to patients, is it expertise in the use of neuromodulation in the cognitive and motor rehabilitation of ABI and TBI patients.
The Center For Cognitive and Memory Disorders from Neurodegenerative Diseases — We specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases such as Alzheimer’s and the Frontotemporal disease that cause cognitive and neuropsychiatric disorders. We utilize neuroimaging techniques such as amyloid and tau PET molecular imaging, neuropsychological testing, volumetric brain MRI, brain mapping and other specialized tests for differentiating among the various neurodegenerative and other diseases that can cause cognitive disorders and neuropsychiatric syndromes. We also implement a variety of clinical and clinical research options for our patients. Lastly, the adult children of our patients are provided with behavioral health interventions aimed at reducing their risk for a neurodegenerative disease.
The Mind-Body Neuropsychiatric and Mental Health Disorders Center also offers a unique approach combining multiple diagnostic techniques to perform differential diagnoses as oppose to relying only on a checklist of symptoms. This precision leads to more effective treatment outcomes. We often combine multiple treatments such as psychotherapy, behavioral therapy, psychotropic medications, and/or neuromodulation interventions.
