Clinical Summary

Sergio Almeida serves as a Functional Brain Mapping and Clinical Services Clinician at The NeuroCognitive & Behavioral Institute (formerly The NeuroCognitive Institute). In this role, Sergio is responsible for analyzing functional brain mapping data and preparing datasets for interpretation by clinicians. Additionally, as a Neuromodulation Clinician, he utilizes neurofeedback and other neuromodulation techniques to treat patients at NCBI experiencing cognitive, neuropsychiatric, and neurobehavioral disorders. Sergio also administers neuropsychometric evaluations, scores test results, and generates interpretation reports.

Currently, he serves as an adjunct lecturer in Neuroscience for the Biology department at Kean University in New Jersey.

Training, Academic Affiliations and Professional Activities

Sergio holds a Master of Arts degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from the City University of New York – Queens College. Previously, he served as a lecturer at Queens College, teaching several psychology courses. Prior to his current position, Sergio gained clinical research experience as a Data Coordinator at Hackensack University Medical Center with extensive exposure to clinical research protocols and data analysis.​
