The NeuroCognitive Institute – What Makes Us Special
Established in 1994 The NeuroCognitive Institute (NCI) has remained committed to our scientist-practitioner model which requires that our doctors remain actively involved in research, but from within a private practice setting. This gives our patients access to the most recent developments in the neurosciences without the bureaucracy often experienced at larger institutions.
Our team consists of pediatric and adolescent psychologists, cognitive and neurotherapists, including speech and language therapists, as well as, adult and geriatric clinical neuropsychologists and behavioral neurologists. We specialize in providing diagnostic and treatment services for:
- Neurodevelopmental Disorders — ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Communication Disorders, Intellectual and Learning Disabilities.
- Acquired and Traumatic Brain Injuries — Stroke and neurovascular disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Encephalopathies and Concussion
- Neuropsychiatric and Mental Health Disorders — Conversion disorders, Mood disorders, OCD, Tourette’s syndrome etc.
- Neurodegenerative Diseases — Alzheimer’s Disease, Frontotemporal Spectrum Based Spectrum Disorders, Neurovascular disease, and the parkinsonism related diseases
At the NeuroCognitive Institute, we want to ensure that all of our patients are aware of and have access to clinical trials as a possible treatment option.
We have a newly renovated clinical research unit at NCI. Here, we study promising new diagnostic and treatment options with our patients and their family members. The clinical research unit is managed by Exodon, a leading clinical research organization. Our clinical research unit offers all the latest safety equipment and medications. In addition to our clinical neuroscientists, the CRU is supervised by doctors and nurses trained in critical care and internal medicine. Our clinical research unit is an integral part of the comprehensive clinical services we offer to our patients with cognitive, neurobehavioral and neuropsychiatric disorders.
